In Loving Memory of Aleasa Ogle 1974 – 2025 Forever Loved, Forever Remembered

The Eden community and countless hearts across Tom Green County are mourning the tragic loss of Aleasa Ogle, age 51, who was taken far too soon in a devastating head-on collision on U.S. Highway 87 during the night of December 10. Her passing has left family, friends, neighbors, and all who knew her in deep sorrow, grappling with the suddenness of a tragedy that forever changed so many lives.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at approximately 9:21 p.m., about 7.5 miles east of San Angelo. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2022 GMC Canyon pickup was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway when it struck Aleasa’s 2022 Nissan Rogue head-on. Despite wearing her seatbelt and the swift response from emergency personnel, Aleasa was pronounced deceased at the scene by Judge Thomas Daniels.

The collision unfolded on a clear night with dry roads—ordinary conditions on what should have been an ordinary drive. Instead, it became a heartbreaking moment that would ripple through the community, leaving behind grief, questions, and a profound sense of loss. The driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old San Angelo resident, was transported to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries, and the investigation continues.

But Aleasa’s life was far more than the circumstance of her passing. She was a beloved member of the Eden community, a woman whose presence mattered deeply to those around her. Friends and family knew her as someone warm, compassionate, and steady—a person who brought light and comfort without ever needing to be asked. Aleasa was the kind of person who made life better simply by being part of it.

Those who loved her will remember her for the love she gave, the conversations she shared, the laughter she brought, and the countless small ways she touched the lives of others. Whether she was supporting family, uplifting friends, or offering kindness to someone in need, Aleasa lived with a generosity of spirit that reflected the very best of humanity.

Her absence will be felt in everyday moments—the ones that seem ordinary until a loved one is no longer there to share them. And yet, her memory remains vivid and alive in the hearts of those who knew her best. It lives in the stories told, the lessons learned, the love she poured into the world, and the legacy she leaves behind.

This tragedy also marks the second fatal crash in Tom Green County in a single week, following the loss of 76-year-old Jose Gallegos on December 9. Together, these moments remind us of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing those we love, holding them a little closer, and honoring the time we are given.

As the community grieves, they also come together—bound by shared sorrow, shared memories, and shared love for a woman whose life truly mattered. Aleasa Ogle will be remembered not for the road where her journey ended, but for the heart, kindness, and beauty of the life she lived.

May she rest in eternal peace.
May her loved ones find strength and comfort.
And may her memory remain a guiding light in the lives of all she touched.

In loving memory of Aleasa Ogle—gone too soon, but forever carried in our hearts.
