In Loving Memory Of Dessie Mae Williams
Greenville Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found inside a residence in the Moyewood community Saturday evening.
At approximately 7:14 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, officers responded to a welfare check at 1802 West Third Street.. With assistance from housing staff, officers made entry into the residence and located 76-year-old Dessie Mae Williams. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Evidence observed at the scene raised immediate concerns, and investigators determined the circumstances surrounding her death to be suspicious. The official cause and manner of death will be determined through an autopsy.
Detectives are actively investigating and following up on strong leads.
