In Loving Memory Of Antonio Thornton Jr
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said 17-year-old Antonio Thornton Jr., 17, of Loganville, was found shot early Sunday morning in the small town of Bloomingdale, Georgia.
According to the GBI, Chatham County 911 received a call around 7:43 a.m. Dec. 14 reporting a body outside the Magnolia Lane Apartments along U.S. Highway 80.
Officers with the Bloomingdale Police Department responded and found Thornton suffering from a gunshot wound.
It’s unclear when the actual shooting happened.
The GBI said Thornton’s body is at the GBI Crime Lab in Pooler, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
The killing has left a family grieving during what is typically a time of celebration, coming less than two weeks before Christmas.
No arrests have been announced.
