In Loving Memory of Zayne Hannah-Gray
It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic loss of Zayne Hannah-Gray, age 19, of Lebanon, Oregon, who passed away following a devastating two-vehicle crash on the evening of Thursday, December 5, 2025. The accident occurred at approximately 9:06 p.m. at the intersection of Berlin Road and McDowell Creek Drive, leaving a community in shock and mourning.
According to Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a collision involving two vehicles with occupants trapped. Upon arrival, deputies found a 2017 Ram 3500 and a 2002 Mazda B-Series pickup involved in a severe crash. Zayne Hannah-Gray, the driver of the Mazda, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in the Mazda was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ram 3500 suffered serious injuries and was also taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, while an 11-year-old female passenger from the Ram was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland with life-threatening injuries. Early investigation revealed that the Mazda failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck the passenger side of the Ram 3500 at a high rate of speed. Alcohol has been identified as a factor in the collision. Due to the severity of the crash, the Multi-Agency Investigation Team was called in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Zayne Hannah-Gray is remembered by family and friends as a young person full of potential, energy, and a bright spirit that touched all who knew him. His sudden and untimely passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his loved ones and the community.
