Officials confirmed that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The coroner ruled his death accidental, noting that the force of the impact-combined with the ejection-led to the fatal injuries he sustained.

Zachary’s sudden passing has left family, friends, and the Pelzer community devastated.

He is remembered as a hardworking, kindhearted man whose presence brought warmth and familiarity to the people around him. His loss feels deeply personal to those who knew him, and his absence will be felt for years to come.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.

May Zachary Liddell rest in eternal peace, and may his loved ones find strength and comfort during this heartbreaking time.
