With deep sorrow, we remember Aaron Bradley Patton, whose life was tragically taken in a fatal traffic accident on Monday morning. At approximately 6:05 a.m., Aaron was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 54, just 0.1 mile east of County Road 9, when a heartbreaking chain of events occurred that forever changed the lives of those who loved him.
Aaron, 26, of Liberal, was driving a 2017 Chevy Silverado when his vehicle crossed the fog line onto the eastbound shoulder and struck a stopped vehicle. That vehicle left the scene before law enforcement was notified and has not yet been identified. Aaron suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
While the investigation continues, the focus remains on honoring Aaron’s life rather than the tragedy that ended it. Aaron was a beloved son, family member, and friend whose presence brought meaning and warmth to those around him. He was known for his genuine heart, steady character, and the way he cared deeply for the people in his life. His smile, laughter, and compassion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
