On December 11, 2025, at approximately 8:50 a.m., officers from Prince George’s County responded to the 6900 block of Westchester Court for a report of a shooting inside a residence. When they arrived, they discovered Adia inside her home, suffering from significant trauma. Despite their efforts and the rapid response of emergency medical personnel, she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

As news of her death spread, heartbreak enveloped those who knew Adia best. She was a woman described by loved ones as warm, strong, compassionate, and deeply rooted in her family and community. Her loss leaves an unfillable void in the lives of those who cherished her—a void made even more painful by the violent nature of her passing.

Detectives with the Homicide Unit have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. At this stage, investigators do not believe the crime was random, indicating that the nature of the incident may have been targeted.
