In Loving Memory of Faith Scarlet Rose Andersen

COOS COUNTY, OR — On the evening of Monday, December 22, 2025, a tragic vehicle-pedestrian collision on Highway 42 claimed the life of Faith Scarlet Rose Andersen, 29, of Myrtle Point. What began as an ordinary winter evening ended in profound loss, leaving a community mourning a life taken far too soon.

According to the Oregon State Police, troopers responded near milepost 20 at approximately 5:19 p.m. following reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Preliminary information indicates that a white Ford Ranger, driven eastbound by a Coos Bay woman, struck a pedestrian who was reportedly standing in the travel lane for reasons still under investigation. Despite the prompt response of emergency personnel, Faith sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was not injured.

While authorities continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, the focus for many now rests on remembering Faith for who she was beyond the details of that tragic night. At just 29 years old, Faith was a young woman with a life full of meaning, connections, and unrealized dreams. She was someone deeply loved, and her absence has left a lasting void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.

The Oregon State Police were assisted at the scene by the Myrtle Point Police Department, Myrtle Point Fire Department, and ODOT. Though the highway remained open, the emotional impact of this loss is immeasurable.

Faith Scarlet Rose Andersen will be remembered with love, tenderness, and sorrow. May her memory live on, and may her loved ones find comfort, strength, and peace during this incredibly difficult time.
