At approximately 12:56 p.m., Leesburg patrol officers responded to Berry Park, located at 2121 Johns Avenue, after receiving reports of a possible shooting victim inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered Juan inside the vehicle, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite the rapid response of Leesburg Fire-Rescue and EMS, all lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful, and Juan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The sudden loss of such a young life has left family members, friends, classmates, and the wider community in deep shock and mourning.
