A community is grieving the tragic and senseless loss of Marvin Arnett, a 35-year-old man whose life was taken far too soon in a drive-by shooting on the evening of December 12, 2025. His death has left family, friends, and loved ones reeling, as they struggle to comprehend how a simple moment in time could end in such devastating loss.
Just before 9:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at a home near 50th Street North and North Boulder Avenue. When officers arrived, they learned that Marvin had already been rushed to the hospital in a private vehicle after being struck by gunfire. Despite medical efforts, Marvin succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Authorities say he had been stopping by the residence when an unknown individual drove past and opened fire on the house, discharging multiple rounds. Marvin was struck during the attack. Miraculously, no one else was injured in the shooting, but the loss of Marvin’s life has left an irreplaceable void.
Detectives have since questioned multiple individuals as part of the investigation, but no suspect has been identified at this time. The case remains active, and investigators continue to work diligently to uncover the truth and bring accountability for this violent act.
