In Loving Memory of Thomas M. Littick

The Zanesville community and all who knew him are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Thomas M. Littick, age 60, whose life was tragically cut short following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near mile marker 202 in Belmont County on Tuesday, December 10, 2025. His sudden passing has left family, friends, and neighbors in profound grief, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

At approximately 12:48 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Thomas was traveling eastbound in his 2012 KIA Optima when his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The car came to rest in a grassy area south of the interstate. Emergency responders from Barnesville Fire and EMS, Bethesda EMS, Fairview VFD, Mount Pleasant VFD, and Bradens A1 Towing arrived swiftly at the scene. Thomas was transported to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Officials confirmed that he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Though the circumstances of his passing are tragic, Thomas’s life was defined by much more than this final moment. He was a beloved son, a caring friend, a neighbor, and a valued member of his community.
